Clutch kits are asbestos free and
lined with heavy duty anti-swell friction material, almost identical to OEM. We
recommend soaking plates in drive case oil for 3-4 hours before installation.
Always fit new clutch springs to avoid clutch slippage. Always check driven
plates (steel or alloy plate with teeth on inside) for thickness and surface
condition.
Wiseco Clutch Basket
WPP precision forgings have greater strength
due to "feature aligned grain flow". Compared to castings or products machined
from billet, Wiseco Precision Forgings can be lighter and still have increased
mechanical properties resulting in higher strength, ductility, and resistance to
impact and fatigue. Forged from lightweight, high strength, certified, aerospace
grade, aluminum alloy. Wiseco's CNC machining process produces each clutch
basket dimensionally the same as the next. Weight reducing relief cuts on the
outside diameter of the clutch basket reduce rotational mass, which lowers the
centrifugal force acting on the clutch basket and increases overall acceleration
of the engine. Large oiling holes in the clutch basket tangs increase
lubrication, reduce heat build up and reduce weight. Hard anodized for an ultra
tough abrasive resistant surface ensures a long life of smooth clutch operation
through the elimination of wear on the sides of the clutch basket tabs. A teflon
coating seals the clutch basket to create a near frictionless surface for the
clutch disks to glide upon. Supplied with high quality fasteners complete with
pre-applies thread locker for a secure grip during assembly.
